Our co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cory Lloyd co-ran an insurance family run agency, which started as a small "Mom and Pop" entrepreneurial agency. He was faced with the challenges of re-shaping their agency according to the new model of doing business and selling within the internet age, needing to adopt and adapt new technologies for quickly growing their market.
They needed the right prospects, contacted at the right time, through the most efficient channels, in a scenario where seconds could make the difference between an effective conversion or the loss of interest of the prospect. After trying different “sales stack” combinations, and tired of spending vast amounts of money on these third-parties that were not keeping up with their needs, Cory was convinced that the best way to keep track of the whole process, organize and control the information, and ensure the best customer service for conversion and retention, was to build this system himself.
The objective, design an integrated, easy-to-use, value for money, complete sales cycle system, with which a small business could be able to compete with the big ones. In other words, build and strengthen the needed muscle through the use of perseverance, strategy and technology.
Impossible? Not for the Spartan heart.
Cory joined forces with a group of development professionals, one of which is the other founding father of the company, and our Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jose Hernández who owned a small business in Costa Rica called Code Machine; and another, a heartfelt back-end developer and AI enthusiast who came from a corporate background, at present our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Max Peréz.
After several trial and errors, learning from each of their experiences, revising the product’s architecture and having a strong belief in the team and the product they were aiming for, they were able to come up with the desired product, utilizing high-end technological standards and innovative development procedures, which allowed for a continuous learning process.
